PMI conducts audit of applications received randomly. Candidates will receive a notification through email if their application is selected for audit. Thereafter, an applicant will have 90 days to fulfill the requirements of the audit process. On clearing the audit process, candidates can take up the exam and earn the certification.

Applicants selected for PMI audit process need to submit the following documents:
  • Copy of their diploma/global equivalent
  • Signature of their supervisors validating their experience, and
  • A copy of certificate or letter of registration from training institute for every course taken up to meet the contact hours criterion.

Candidates who fail in the first attempt can retake the exam 3 times within the eligibility period by paying the re-examination fee.

It is not mandatory to become a member of PMI. However, individuals who enroll in PMI’s membership program incur lesser cost while taking up PBA Certification exam. Also, on becoming a member of PMI, professionals can reap the benefits of extensive training material and networking opportunities.

PMI PBA Training educates individuals in the following tasks:

Candidates can reschedule their exam on PMI website. On rescheduling the exam prior to one month from the date of examination, candidates need not pay any fee. Candidates who reschedule their exam within one month from the date of the exam are required to pay USD 70. However, PMI charges rescheduling fees on a case-to-case basis.
